Department of History
The Department of History offers History Major Programme in
Marathi. The course is so designed as to offer students a
thorough grounding in the main currents of Indian and World
History. The faculty stresses on conventional teaching methods
along with practical work experience in the form of excursion,
guest lectures, seminars etc.
A graduate programme in History enables students to opt for a
variety of careers in journalism, mass media and the professions
of teaching and research. Simultaneously, students can opt for
a career in the new and upcoming fields of travel and tourism
and heritage management. The course trains and empowers the
students to strike out on their own in their chosen vocations.
